This past month

This past month has brought a change in weather. All the trees leaves changed from green to gold, red, and brown. We had visitors over the weekend. Man's parents drove up from are home state. The kids were elated to see them. We went to the huge play place in town, had frozen yogurt with sprinkles and sent allot of time at the park. Were half way through the school semester. Job training and hopefully some hrs.
We had a fire safety event at the local fire station. The kids got to sit in a fire truck, shoot cones with a fire hose, and how to leave the house in case of a fire. Other than that were gearing up for winter an the cold. Loves to you all

September and such

The month of September was rather nice to us up here. The garden did well, we have one  pie pumpkin and one red  Japanese squash to cook up for pies bread or cookies. We were blessed to be able to share Zucchini with some families at church and had plenty of tomato's. All is out of the ground but the radishes we planted at the beginning of September.
There hasn't been allot to do this month, we have had company almost every weekend. One of mans friends family decided to move to the states from Germany while he finishes his contract. His son and wife are wonder full, the kids play great together even though they cant understand one a nother.
We were learning about the letter F so K took all the hot mits and turned her self in to a frog.
It been a good month. Oct started out a little on the chilly side, and the splash park is closed. Most know that the Government is shut down all non essential staff. Are local commissary was a Zoo Monday. I went just for a couple bags of chicken and some milk. The non express line was huge wrapped around the inside of the store. It was sad to see people so panicky over food, leads me to believe how people will act when there is a food shortage. And by no means is there a food shortage, there is a walmart 3 mins out side the main gate. Feel for those over seas hope they didn't close there commissary's. Glad we keep 3 mos of storage plus what ever is in the house so the store is not a need. We hope all are loved ones are doing well and hope its cooled down back home.

Hello all.

Well it's been a few weeks. We have been quite busy. There have been many activites that have gone on. It seems that during the spring and summer up here there is always something to do. I think they try to cram all the fun in to the summer due to all the snow they say comes this way in the winter.
We went to the local Zoo. It was quite nice. There city Zoo and Park is on top of the hill and you can see over the whole county and city. There Zoo was quite nice for the size. The girl loved the Butterfly house and the boy loves the Otters. The other animals were rather quiet all except for the Otters. They wete rather showy.
Aug brought us are first parade. It was the night out agenst crime day. There was a parade, blow up toys, snow cones, and candy. So much candy. The kida had a blast. We got wistles that we love to blow.
Yes that is are garden cart. We use it as a wagon. The kids love it and so do I. It handles off road great.  Other than that we have been pretty good. It spent alot of time raining these past two weeks. It helped the garden plants to grow good. But we have had to be creative to keep from getting to board.
We made some home made playdough. Had to use blocks to smash it. I cooked it a tad to long. But it worked, we dont have a basement. So when the truck is not in the garage. It is are extnded play space. We love chalk, it allows us to draw and color and sweep it up and do it all over
We have been quite lucky this year and the short growing season. Are peas did a double take. And to keep with the Blaser side growing odd vegtables and fruit. I remember a tomato I got for my Birthday that had a nose growing out of it. To add my part I grew a pea that started growing a little pea from it
Over all its been a good few weeks. Its starting to cool down. We only had maybe a week of temps above 85 deg. Its been very nice. The diwn side is we uave tons of tomatos, but there not ripening as quickly. Hope there still yummy even if they have to ripen on the counter.

If were here next year I will take the community center up on there free dirt.
The kids were excited to get new colors and some cake and cookie mix.  They are very intrested right now in helping cook and see what Man and I are up to. We do are best to let them help, hold and plant seeds mix the ingredents, pick up there messes. We are very lucky to have family that makes us feel very loved from so far away.
My very old Iris roots. I will take them where ever we roam
My kids love rocks. I even have some of my greatgrand parents rock collection. It was funny whenan opened the box and had made a comment before about it feels like I packed rock.  I did forget my rock colection at my folks and my tumbler. Gonna have ro get that in yhe post to me soon

One for the family

I know the family misses us and we miss them. So this is for them. Jax has been very much wanting to be a grown up and be like daddy. Saying he leaves for his army work and goes and playes in my pantry. He like to cook pretend food in the pantry. So we got him an uniform from trooperclothing.com the local PX had uniforms for 20 bucks. Man went and got acoupple hats from the uniform area. There sizes run from 18 mos-kids 16. Now we have a hard time getting him to take it off. On the agenda for timorrow is sewing some cammo jammies for bed time. Yes I still sew and would love to go to semstress school, along with  CN and then to my LPN.
Other than that we have been to the splash park and making people art. Later all

Well we made it

We were lucky to get some housing on base. Seeings that most places charge rent equell to BAH why not live on base and save some money not having to pay gas and elect. There is a comunity garden but it is quite a walk. We opted for planting in our yard and then spreading seed.
We have peas climbing some yarn
Tomatos, and some squash plants and a pumkin plant.  Are house has a very nice floor plan of the bed rooms up stairs with the two full baths and living, kitchen and  wash room down stairs. There are two parks less than half mile from the house and plunty to do. We are just enjoying are time waiting for school to start back up for the both of us. There was a slue of family actavties this week. We went to Alexandria bay had a boat ride around the thousand islands area.
Enjoyed some icecream afterwords. This week ended with an activity at the local lake and bouncy toys.

A Well-Behaved Mormon Woman: Guest Post: Good News and Bad News on Motherhood: I woke up Monday morning, and as I usually do, lay in my bed, pondering. I soon found myself contemplating it being Mother's Day, this...

I enjoyed reading this post today.
