September and such

The month of September was rather nice to us up here. The garden did well, we have one  pie pumpkin and one red  Japanese squash to cook up for pies bread or cookies. We were blessed to be able to share Zucchini with some families at church and had plenty of tomato's. All is out of the ground but the radishes we planted at the beginning of September.
There hasn't been allot to do this month, we have had company almost every weekend. One of mans friends family decided to move to the states from Germany while he finishes his contract. His son and wife are wonder full, the kids play great together even though they cant understand one a nother.
We were learning about the letter F so K took all the hot mits and turned her self in to a frog.
It been a good month. Oct started out a little on the chilly side, and the splash park is closed. Most know that the Government is shut down all non essential staff. Are local commissary was a Zoo Monday. I went just for a couple bags of chicken and some milk. The non express line was huge wrapped around the inside of the store. It was sad to see people so panicky over food, leads me to believe how people will act when there is a food shortage. And by no means is there a food shortage, there is a walmart 3 mins out side the main gate. Feel for those over seas hope they didn't close there commissary's. Glad we keep 3 mos of storage plus what ever is in the house so the store is not a need. We hope all are loved ones are doing well and hope its cooled down back home.
