Little garden

The little lady wanted to show off her tomato from the garden.
It has a nose. I remember getting a tomato with a nose from my grandma for my birthday. The little lady grew her own

What have we been up to?

Well we have been up to allot. School ended for the summer for me. John got his Degree. The kids, well we home school year around. The time of year dictates what we do. When its cold, we do allot of  math, reading, in door things. With it being warm we do science outside, history at the local historic sights, envormental study.  I have to start getting this falls study put together.
We have spent 3 or 4 days st the Zoo this summer.  The kids love going. Its small but well taken care of.
We all had visitors in June. Lady, Popps and some of the cousins came to visit. We went to the Soo, the local diamond mine, and picked strawberries, besides mans school graduation.
We also had two birthday here in July.
 The kids took the photos
We got so me very nice knives, some science projects to do before school starts

A little girl got in trouble for jumping on the couch and was told to sit on the floor.  So she sat on the dump truck in the floor. Her stubbornness is going to make her a great leader.
On the hot nights up here and there not really hot. The A/C is to small for this house. They sleep together in the bed room with the A/C. They really do love each other.

Our little garden is growing big. Onions and tomato's are everywhere. The squash are trying to catch up. The growing season is so short up here. Its hard to get them going. I hope our next stop has a longer growing season.
The squash leaves are bigger than my hand
And we have a yard toad. The kids are excited we have such wildlife in the yard
Our yard is bug spray free in the fence, and we really haven't had any problems. Mother nature takes good care if you let her.
We love you Friends and Family. Thank you for following our adventures.

A little post

The twinnies love getting mail. The best kind is something they want to do with man and I.  This past week they got a Tye die set and bracelet weaver. School has ended for the summer and we will have some time to do these. The warmer weather helps as well. We will be able to hang the shirts out side to dry.
They are also replacing the main road so we watch the big machines work.  Dinner is growing nicely and its time to start the garden.  Woohoo

Easter and beyond

It has been event full here.  Easter Sunday, egg hunt with mans work. Raising our own food.
The boy got a new suit to wear and looks very dapper if I may say so.
The girl got a Easter dress

We have been working at raising some of our own food. The twins love helping feed them worms, crickets, and meal worms.  Don't worry they are not all ours we are sharing with a friend, I forgot how fun it was to watch the little fellas. They should be ready to eat by summer.  School has been busy for the kids and the adults in the house. Only one month left till summer break.  Something very important happened for man today.
Yep round 2 and many more good things to come.
It has been very nice out so we have taken advantage of the great weather
We got bunnies that remind us of out Saviors love for us.

Say hello to our little friends.

So the twins will be joining the local 4H peep's and squeeks group. In order to do so we had to have any of the following Rabbit, GuiniePig, Chicken, Duck, Geese,  Turkey or Quail.  Where we live says no farm animals so that means no Chickens, but they did not count Turkey,Duck, Geese, or Quail. So we settled on Quail. We are attempting to hatch them. 120 little eggs. The incubator is on loan from the local Co. Extension office. I love that place they pressure test caners and have some awesome programs. The twins will be raising some quail. We could have anywhere from zero to 120 little thumb size babies. We have found the extra if we have any a home on a friends land and many will make it in to the freezer 9-12 weeks after they they hatch. The twins are excited and so are man and I we miss fresh eggs and the bug control. When they hatch here first week in April we will up date with how many and photos.  The kids wanted to crack the eggs and play with them. Don't quite understand they are growing in there little homes.

Photo drop

It has been a while. Days just seem to fly by. Except for February it drug being the coldest location in the lower 48 for 2 days makes them drag. The local weather set a record. Below freezing for 23 days straight.  Yes you read that correctly. For 23 straight days it did not get above 32 deg. Its currently 42 out and I'm considering opening the windows during this heat wave.
Here are some photos from the last few mos. We brought snow inside to play with it. Had picnics on the floor. Been going to Home depots kid building weekends.  Went to a nice car show at the Oncenter, had a Love's assortment of eye candy.
For the twins 6th birthday. Yes I said 6th. They chose to eat at the Roadhouse, they did not like being sung to or having all the attention. Mommy made cakes, we got some awesome gifts and things to do. Even some long term gifts to work on.
Mans waiting rather impatiently for this re up and people seem to be slow on paperwork. He is in his last to classes to get his degree. He says it feels like time is dragging.
