We stayed busy all summer with actives.

As always we went to fire safety. As part of the requirements where we live for home school we must attend fire safety lessons.

The twins hand writing is improving and we have a goal to be reading by the end of the school year.

Back from vacation

We got back from a trip home to find a garden ready to harvest.
Little K grew carrots and tomato's this year.
Little J grew strawberries, green beans and potatoes
We grew corn and more green beans at are community garden plot. By far the kids favorite are the massive sunflowers by our front door
Peas litter the fence line in a constant rotation.  We returned home to attend some things in the local community.
We got a free trip to the Zoo thank you ACS. The kids love going to the zoo.
Outdoors days on post, put on by parks and land management. Got to make fossil's, shoot nurf guns, touch snakes, climb on emergency equipment, watch them chop down trees and a skinning demonstration on a beaver.
We borrowed a wheat grinder and ground up some food storage wheat for rotation. Tried on are civil break down masks
 Cheesing some photos
And last but not least home grown corn from the community garden.  We love the summers up here. But the days are getting shorter and cooler at night.  Hope we dont get 18ft of snow again this winter.
